Hot Mulligan are a five-piece emo/pop-punk act from Lansing, Michigan. Originally hailing from Michigan’s upper peninsula, the sextet left to record their debut EP, Fenton, with Mat Kerekes of Citizen in October of 2014. After an independent, digital exclusive release of the EP, Fenton saw a physical re-release on Save Your Generation Records in May of 2015. In the same month, the band released their second EP, Honest & Cunning, produced by Josh Frost–formerly of Search The City–at 2015’s Bled Fest. In August of 2015, Hot Mulligan abandoned their lives of high school and cutting trees in Michigan’s upper peninsula to embark on their first tour and move to the state’s capitol, Lansing, in search of further exposure and opportunity. Since their adjustment to college life and civilization, the emo/pop-punk quintet have gone to Oneder Studios to record with Nick Diener–formerly of The Swellers–and release a split 7″ with emo/rock act, Everyone Leaves, through both Save Your Generation and Little Heart Records.

The band has established a dedicated following both in and out of the Midwest, and released their third EP, Opportunities, in December of 2016.
